The Research Friendly Spaces project, part of Raising Voices in Research (RViR), aims to bring more research into trusted community spaces.  

Health and care research helps improve services, treatments and outcomes, but opportunities to take part are not always accessible or inclusive. By working with community venues, we can help researchers engage with people and communities who may otherwise face barriers to involvement. 

Does your Voluntary, Community, or Social Enterprise organisation manage a community venue or space? Would you like to reduce health inequalities? Join one of our free introductory sessions to find out how you can get involved. You’ll learn about the benefits of becoming a RViR Research Friendly Space, the support available, and how your venue could play a role in making research more inclusive.

Organisations that take part in the project may be eligible for a £200 grant to support their involvement.
